In order to help us help you, our trained receptionists will ask you for the reason for your call, this is so your request can be dealt with by the most appropriate member of your team. All your information is kept confidential.
We have GP appointments every weekday morning and afternoon (excluding bank holidays and staff training sessions). Our normal GP appointments are 10 minutes long, if you would like to discuss more than one problem please book a 15 minute complex appointment or a double 10 minute appointment. A proportion of GP appointments are available to book in advance with a GP of your choice, and can usually be booked up to 3 months in advance. Upon requesting an appointment with any clinician, you will be asked the reason for your appointment. This is to ensure you are seeing the most appropriate person to deal with your problem.
A number of GP appointments are held back each day so that patients may book a GP appointment the same day if required, however this will be with the duty doctor that is in surgery that day and it is not possible to request to see a specific doctor for a same day appointment. If you require a same-day GP appointment please contact the surgery as close to 8.00am as possible.
Roe Lane Surgery offers telephone consultations with a GP, Practice Nurse and Pharmacist and you will be signposted to the most suitable clinician depending upon the reason for your telephone appointment.
Telephone consultations will not be given an exact time as the Clinicians will fit these into their surgeries when they can. Please provide the receptionist with as much information as possible to include in the reason for your call and your contact telephone numbers (including mobile numbers if possible).
